Crown reduction reduces the overall size of a tree’s canopy while retaining its natural shape — a good solution when a tree has outgrown its position or is causing problems with light or access. Crown lifting raises the base of the canopy to improve clearance beneath the tree, and crown thinning opens up the canopy structure to improve light and air movement without reducing the tree’s overall size.
Where a tree needs to be removed, we carry out tree felling and tree removal safely and efficiently, using sectional dismantling techniques where space is restricted. Once a tree is down, stump grinding completes the job and frees up the ground for future use.
For ongoing tree health and maintenance, we carry out tree pruning, deadwood removal, tree pollarding and coppicing — all operations that, carried out correctly and at the right time, significantly extend the life and improve the condition of the trees in your care. Where a tree has a structural weakness that stops short of requiring removal, cable bracing can provide the support needed to manage the risk and keep the tree in place.
